Coming In To Land
In a tree, as you do if you are an egret.
Not a great shot in terms of detail or sharpness, but at least I had the right lens today.
We're really back to normal now, which includes walking more again, and getting back to the 5:2 diet, unfortunately. I checked my weight this morning, the heaviest I have been since July 2019. Oh dear.
We've had a Skype with daughter#2 now she is back in Munich. She had a challenging journey yesterday. Her flight was late arriving in Frankfurt, there were delays at passport control (non EU passports had to be inspected!) and she missed her train connection as her luggage wasn't forwarded to the station. She had to go backwards through the airport to find her case, and was initially sent to the wrong baggage area. She missed another train but had the gumption to complain to Lufthansa (when she eventually found someone to complain to) and as a result they put her on a flight to Munich (35 minutes instead of the 4 hour train journey). There was bit more excitement/worry at the end though when the Munich landing was aborted as there was 'something' on the runway and they had to use a different runway to get down safely.
In the end though she got home at about the same time as she would have via the train. I don't think she will be doing air/rail again.
The icing on the cake - she finally got her 2 day UK PCR result, negative!
