Effrontery

Very wet walk along the River Teign from Newton Abbot. There is a massive scrap yard next to one of the tributaries, which looks an odd juxtaposition. This is just near the marshes where we saw a kingfisher and a redshank. We were surprised to see a dog walker with three of those ugly little fashionable dogs, pick up some poo, put it into a bag and then have the effrontery to throw the bag onto the path next to some other bags.We challenged her and she had the effrontery to say she was a professional dog walker, and her car was near by, implying, but not actually saying she would pick it up later. Words failed us, apart from effrontery. Otherwise it was great to get out despite the rain and we added Stonechat, Heron, Kingfisher, Redshank, and Little Grebe and Great Crested Grebe to our list for 2022.
There was a man on the radio who had visited all football league grounds in alphabetical order only using public transport so I said I’d do the same with birds, but not just using public transport. At the moment I’m stuck on A, though I have seen a Guillemot which is an auk.
