Hayling Island

Meteoblue said it was going to be sunny, so with sun in relatively short supply lately we bought two £3 lunches from Tesco (last of the big spenders) and drove down to Hayling Island. Quite a few other people had had the same idea and the road in was slow. Fortunately Hayling has masses of parking and there was no issue there.

There was a keen wind down on the beach and I only saw three people in the water: a surfer (see extra photo), someone who was playing ball with her dog and completely forgot about the incoming tide and got very wet feet and someone who actually tripped over their dog and went face first into the surf. I was just happy to beachcomb for an hour, fill my pockets with interesting pebbles and stay dry.
