Shell

It was a good thing we went to Hayling Island yesterday; today the weather is back to dull dank and grey. I am amazed how good weather forecasting is these days. It really is possible to plan ahead and make the most of the good days.  

In the meantime I have been studying some of the pebbles and shells that I brought back with me. This one, in particular, caught my eye. In fact I was studying it on the beach yesterday when, out of the corner of my eye, I saw the line of approaching surf. I just about managed to sprint the necessary distance to avoid a soaking.
