All gone .. .

Not the best start to a Sunday morning that I've ever had. When I went round the yard at 7am I was greeted with a big space where 2 quad bikes had been parked last night.
The visitors had come prepared anyway as they had cut through the padlocks that chained the bikes round the shed stanchion,shoved them down the yard ,round the back of the cattle sheds ,then down a banking to the burn.
Once they were out of sight they had ripped out the ignition barrels to get them started,driven them up the far bank,cut a 6 strand wire fence,through that across another field ,out the gate and off down the main road.
However they had thoughtfully stacked all the bags of feed off my bike to one side !
Phoned the police but not much hope of anything happening. There has been a spate of thefts all around farms in the district,nearly all quad bikes,and no doubt all by the same lot.
So had to try and feed the outside cattle with the landrover instead,and following all the recent rain ,what a mess that made .
So will need to phone the insurance tomorrow. Won't help much either as you can't get a replacement bike for love nor money just now. Never mind two . And on a livestock farm they are an essential piece of kit you really need every day. So the job is buggered, to put it politely.
