The Road Ahead

I've walked this road from Queensferry to Kirkliston a number of times. It's only 2 miles between the two villages (slowly growing larger as time passes) but it's good to stretch the legs and also allow the mind to ponder all matter of issues....

.... and back in late August, whilst walking this road I came to a decision that will impact the road ahead from this year onward.

For a number of years now I have been landscaping gardens to supplement my regular income. I've enjoyed it and it has always been rewarding to see a garden transformed. However over the past year I've noticed how tiring this has become especially after and inbetween Night Shifts.

So on the morning mentioned earlier, I was listening to a podcast...
Simple Synopsis - Ray Collins' journey from being a miner to an Ocean / Wave photographer and something within the whole story resonated with me.

Decision made... Landscaping would be finished by the end of the year....and so it has.

What will I do instead?? Only time will tell but throughout the journey from that day until now I have been grateful for the words of encouragement that I have received from those that I have shared the whole story with.

Let's see what the year brings!!
