A whiff of spring

The sun on the skin felt warm at lunchtime even though the ambient temperature was low.  I walked a new lane up into the plantation woods and heard woodpeckers drumming on the trunks.  It did me good after a frustrating work call in the morning.  Waiting on so many broadcasters at the moment.   I saw my first celandine in the hedgerow and a peacock butterfly basking in the sun.

Then back to the home office trying to move stuff on!
