Ragu bolognese

Today's the day ......................... to cook

I've had such a lovely afternoon - all by myself in the kitchen, cooking a big pot of Mary Berry's Ragu Bolognese Sauce.  I say, all by myself - but in fact I had The Henry Girls for company and they put on a special performance, just for me to sing along to.  

Mary's recipe has quite a lot of ingredients in it and it takes a good couple of hours to cook in the oven.  But it's the real thing and tastes delicious once it's done.  I'll put it away in the freezer and then it will form the basis of lasagne or spaghetti bolognese-type dishes when needed.
