Looking for fish?

After a very foggy morning and lots of chores and tedious phone calls re contracts eg Sky,  it was nice to see the sun and get out to Home Park and along the river.

Lots of birds were looking active including several pairs of swans which I expect will be making nests soon. This is a photo on Oak Pond in Home Park, near the golf course. There is usually a pair of swans which nest here and they were on the pond today and the nest for the last year is still there but has not yet been   ‘refurbished’! There is often a heron at this pond too.

Passing Hampton Court Palace I noticed the ice rink was being dismantled. There would be no problem with the ice staying frozen today with the low temperatures…crazy that it was too hot and had to be closed for several days around Christmas!
Lovely to see the chimneys of Hampton Court agains a blue sky, I never tire of looking at the patterns in the brickwork. I also noticed that the Banqueting House is having major work done to it.

No signs yet on Hampton Court Bridge but I understand that there is going to be major works there for several weeks to install ‘ anti- terrorist’ measures. ( meaning lane  closures and even more traffic jams than usual since Bushy Park has been closed to through traffic)  Not sure what this means but yesterday I saw that the work on Westminster Bridge has nearly been completed and there are lots of bollards to separate the footpath from the traffic lanes…maybe that is what is going to be done on Hampton Court Bridge.
