Men At Work

It's a construction zone where we live - this foundation/slab was being poured just before sunrise this morning. The fog rolled in briefly and then was gone when the sun chased it away.  The workers were busy all day, as they are every day.  

Today I visited a local herb farm.  A great source of some plantings when spring arrives.  I did pick up some African basil and a romaine lettuce plant in a pot which the woman who owns the farm said can grow that way outdoors for now.  We'll see how that goes.  The basil smells like the usual Italian Basil but the leaves are very small and purple tinged.  That will need to be indoors until the threat of frost goes away.
