Plannie Daffs

This swathe of gorgeous gold is in the Holm Plantation in Ardrossan - known to the generations who have been brought up in Ardrossan and Saltcoats as "The Plannie". I spent many hours as a child falling in the burn here on the hunt for minnows and sticklebacks, and even more hours as a teenager lazing about on breaks from Ardrossan Academy just up the road. It's encouraging to see that although a lot of the trees have been removed, there is still a great amount of care going into the horticulture and landscaping.
