Catapult

I was attracted by the bent over trunk trapped beneath the fallen tree. I felt it told a bit of a story which could be interpreted a number of ways - nature's lifecycle, chaos, being trapped, a loaded spring, etc.

I tried a number of height positions, adjusting the camera's tilt accordingly, wanting to include the moss covered stump and the foot prints running the length of the log. I was surprised by how little movements of the camera caused quite significant changes in the frame.
