Eggishorn 2866

Unfortunately I didn’t feel well in the night, very cold, headache, everything ache, so didn’t feel well enough to ski. The others went, by 2pm I was feeling well enough to go out, the weather was glorious. It was a shame to waste the day’s Skipass, so I went for a trip up the Eggishorn cablecar to 2866m to enjoy the views of the Aletsch glacier. So glad I went it was superb, so pretty patterns when covered in snow. I just stayed up for 15 mins, and got the next cablecar down.
I did a bit of shopping in the village, then my daughter cooked dinner, Älplermaggronen.
Macaroni, potatoes, Gruyère cheese, bacon pieces, cream, served with fried onions and apple sauce. Recommended only after a big day in the mountains!
