A cold and frosty morning!
This morning we took our grandchildren to Claremont Gardens. Until we started out I did not realise how foggy and cold it was.
Such a contrast to the bright sun and blue sky yesterday.
It was very cold still at Claremont and as we went to the lake we could see that much of it was frozen over with gulls standing on the ice! ( some in the background still are) We had taken some bird food so when we threw this lots of ducks etc came over very quickly as in the photo. However Leopold, the black swan, was not keen on the peanuts we offered!
The twins were fascinated with the ice on the lake and were keen to use sticks to break it where they could get to the edge. It was at least 0.5cm thick and did not break easily. So a bit of learning about ice and melting etc. and noticing that twigs and vegetation were stuck in the ice.
Lots of traffic everywhere..queues in Esher with road works.
