Guse Dub

This is an interesting little entrance behind a wrought iron gate off Buccleuch Street on a short stretch of road called Guse Dub. It’s such an interesting name for what is obviously a very old part of the south side of the old town.

We have had another sunny day with no wind and people were out in droves in the Meadows. Daughter#1 , unexpectedly still in Edinburgh after gallery duty and a car breakdown, came for a walk with me round the Meadows taking in a short visit to Daughter #2 and family. It was the biggest gathering of family since the August lunch ……but was still just 3 households. It’s the little people who obey the rules.
