Looking for aurora borealis

Night between Friday and Saturday, lot of aurora borealis was photographed in Finland. It promised some activity to night between Satureday and Sunday too. I set alarm at midnight and went to local lake. I planned to be on place where is wide views to all directions. I was there between 00:00 - 01:00 and then left to home because of cold. I didn't see aurora borealis. Later on I saw pictures taken quite close before midnigh, where nice green aurora borealis

This is one photo where some night sky is vilisble behind cluods. At extra, halo effect on moon.

I think this is like fishing, you never know if you get catch or not.
