Bird Ringing

G and I went for a walk around Pensthorpe this morning and came across a group doing some bird ringing. You can see a blue tit in G’s journal and more about the group and what they were doing.   https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/2929431274055533202 
It always makes me smile that to do the ringing they put them upside down in an old plastic film canister. A couple of the group kindly let us take some close up photos including of a great tit as above. I’ve added an extra of a swan busking in the sunshine. A frustrating afternoon on the pc as it decided to do a load of updates which had a few problems.

Novak Djokovic lost his appeal to 3 judges against having his visa revoked and has now left Australia. Personally I’d like to see the tennis associations require all players to be fully vaccinated in order to be part of the tour. The Chairman of the Conservative Party has said that a culture change is needed at No.10. From my work on corporate culture you need to: be clear what behaviour is expected; lead by example at the top; reward the right behaviours; and penalise the wrong behaviours. So I agree that culture change is required, but cannot see how that can be achieved with Boris as he is clearly part of the problem as it comes from the very top. Covax has now delivered 1billion vaccine doses to poorer countries. Clinically vulnerable 16 and 17 year olds will be able to book their third dose on the national booking service from Monday.
