Closing Down

I happened to look up, as I turned to walk back, to see a brief glimpse of light as the cloud cover developed. I could feel a few snow flurries coming on. Otherwise it had been quite overcast and photographs were thin on the ground.

I liked the silhouette of the trees against a moody sky enough to keep the image quite dark. I opened up the shadows a touch in the lower half to show details in the mass of branches and twigs.
