Meet Muriel

She's a Barnevelder hen. Since she arrived last Saturday, she's laid 6 eggs! Her plumage is called "double laced" - she looks beautiful.

Well, we had two hours of supervised playtime in the garden for the 'big girls' and the newbies. All went better than expected - just a few pecks here and there, no blood drawn. And even better, managed to get all 11 back in to their respective houses and runs. Am feeling very pleased.
