JADE EYE

What a beautiful day it's been - I didn't need my hat or gloves when I walked around the Marina. The cormorants' eyes are the most beautiful jade green when you see them properly.

Early night tonight as Mum phoned me at 1.50am and then again at 5.45am, and I suspect this might start to be a frequent occurrence. When I speak to her during the day she understands that she gets muddled between day and night, but when it's actually happening she can't grasp it, and wants to know where Mel is, and who is going to get her lunch or will she have to go to bed without a proper meal? I may go down there later in the week, and we've all got our fingers crossed for Sister A2 to arrive from Texas at the weekend after a gap of two-and-a-half-years, but we're not telling Mum in case anything goes wrong (A2 is testing daily after being exposed 8 days ago, so far so good).
