The Birds

Thankfully I have been less weary than the past couple of days.  It was a lovely morning, but we all took it slowly again.  I read a bit of my book then TT and I finished the jigsaw that has been playing with our minds these past couple of weeks.  It’s definitely one of the most challenging jigsaws we have done in a  long time.   We got BB out to help at mini rugby, then I headed out for my run.  I did  one of usual routes in reverse.  It was a lovely sunny morning, with a blue sky and not too cold.  It was just lovely to be out enjoying it.

After  quick lunch we headed over to Prestonpans where BB had a football match.   TT and I went for a walk,  after about half an hour TT headed back to watch and I continued to Cockenzie, then Port Seton.  When I got back  I thought I might have time to sit in the car and read my book in peace, but I got back just as the game had finished.  They won – so all happy, not that you could tell!

It was then  back home via the supermarket as TT had decided to cook from my new Christmas cookbook – a recipe I almost made in the holidays until I was usurped by him with a better idea!  While he cooked,  I tackled the ironing mountain – mostly school shirts and a load of my stuff that has been piling.  Working from home does not require the same standards as working in an office.  I continued with The Tourist while I ironed, and later I finished the series.  I’m not sure I would recommend it.  Six hours of my life I won’t get back.

The tide was in and there were lots of birds on the rocks just off Port Seton.  There’s a curlew, oystercatchers and red shanks in this blip.
