Connaught Water
Today we managed to get out and take a turn around Connaught Water, a little later in the afternoon than I would have liked (photographically speaking) and too early for sunset colours. The path was flooded and quite treacherous in part, some much worse than the flooded bit you see here and certainly not wheelchair friendly as it is supposed to be.
No matter, we had a lovely walk, me without a stick and only a little bit afraid of slipping! During our walk we met A (Marginellaman on here although he gave up some years ago), Mr MC's former business partner, carrying a camera with a lens that certainly means business: very large, camouflage casing and 400mm range so I'm sure that any pics that he took will be rather better than mine. He is anyway, an excellent photographer, specialising in nature photography.
We also met a dear little dog named Trixie, who we learned, had survived a dreadful road accident and had been lucky to even survive let alone keep her hind left leg. I hope we meet her again.
My picture is one of many very average shots as I was mostly shooting into the sun. Here is one of the rare ones where I turned away and in extras one of my favourite spots, complete with a large sunspot!
