Mirror mirror on the wall ....
Rosina was doing her mum's make up when I snapped this picture of her checking herself out in the mirror. Had some wondeful pictures of Diana with a hair net on and a face pack but decidied it would not be gentelmanly to use those for a blip. I must be getting soft in my old age.
We have a guest staying over for the weekend - Rachel, the eldest daughter. Her partner Ross is away in Madrid for a stag weekend and she doesn't like to be home alone so she is staying with us. Cooked her a nice meal (here we go with my food obsession again) of smoked salmon pate with oat cakes followed by beef bourguinogn with creamy mash and stir fried Chinese cabbage. Very nice it was too although there was far too much. We will be eating both courses for at least another day if not two.
Luke went to visit friends in London on Friday night and is expected back at about 02;00 Sunday morning. I'm going to have to take the portable doorbell to bed with me so that I hear him return and can let him in. I hope it works, otherwise he will have to sleep on the drive.
Did a training swim today - 3km and at the 2.5km mark, I was just 2 minutes off the required pace (an improvement on my previous best of 9 minutes off the pace). thanks to Jack for his coaching.
Got the family round for dinner on Sunday, so expect another food related blip :-)
Luke returns to Cghina on Wednesday. I can't believe the 2 weeks is going to be up so soon. Its gone so quick. He will have to visit for 3 weeks next year. 2 weeks is just not enough.
