Lichen-laden blackthorn

After such a beautiful night, it was disappointing to see the thick grey cloud blanket back again and by lunchtime it was depositing some of the wet stuff on us yet again. I snapped this shot while out on a brief damp foray with Bertie, just in case nothing better came my way. (It didn’t.)
