Quite a pleasant day, although the sun didn’t break through the cloud at all. I was able to do a bit of gardening and tried to dig out some Japanese anemone roots as they are going for a take-over of the back border! It was hard work and I’ve probably missed some.
The lovely Lucy called round in the afternoon, much to Bertie’s delight. She brought her human with her so P and I had a bit of a catch up over a cuppa.
I thought this shot of the indoor console for the new weather station seemed an appropriate blip this evening to convey from an alternative viewpoint how beautiful it was outside after dark.
The owls were hooting to each other in the trees nearby and the grass had a slight crispness resulting from the ground frost, although it didn’t feel that cold. The full moon was high in the sky and shining beautifully so that only the brightest stars were visible. All the clouds had rolled away and I didn’t even need a torch to see where I was going when I took Bertie out.
