wolf moon and an icy window

I was awake in the night, occupied by thoughts of a colleague who is suddenly dying. It’s too late to reach out and say anything. I wish we could all die in our sleep, aged 98, bellies full of birthday cake with the only vexing part of ageing being slightly dry elbows in the last couple of days. It would still be terribly sad but a vast improvement, don’t you think?

Moonshine sparkling through the ice on our window was pretty lovely. But not particularly artfully captured (it was 3am and there was no way I was moving).

Gratefuls:

1. Being able to do the school run - a very quiet one with just Zeke;
2. A very loud car ride to athletics with Eve and the cousins;
3. A helpfully pushy uni tutor.
