Coffee with a friend

We walked down to a favourite little café in Kohimarama this morning to meet a friend for coffee and a chat. She is joining a tour to the Chatham Islands on Friday and has had her fingers crossed since the beginning of January that the tour will actually go ahead, given that Omicron is lurking at the border.

As we sat drinking our coffee and chatting a woman turned up with her little dog in its own Pet Gear stroller, which she left outside while she went in to order her coffee. Here’s my blip for today I thought. The little dog was determined that it wouldn’t be, turning its head in the opposite direction no matter which side I tried to take a photo from. I did manage it in the end, but it wasn’t easy. It was a sweet little dog too.

There are 24 new community cases today. They are in Northland (1), Auckland (14), Waikato (1), Rotorua (5), Tauranga (1), Hawke’s Bay (1) and Hutt Valley (1).
