Shimmering

I couldn’t tear myself away from watching Emma Raducanu this morning. Marvellous start until she got an awful blister on her finger. You could see she was in agony. The Montenegran girl was going to have an easy win. Well, it didn’t work out like that. Emma was slicing the shots, or doing lots of other tricks the commentators told us about. At one point she looked as though she’d rescued it. Well, not quite…….  But she’s learned so much. She’s definitely an exciting prospect for the future. For British tennis, that’s just as well.

I went for a walk round the lakes at Barton Marina before I made it to Morrisons for Furbie’s cat food. 

The light was so intense it was tricking the sensors. A beautiful stroll - sparkly and pure magic.
