Small plantation

I blipped these trees being planted back in October.  They look smart now with their fence and stakes.  I'm looking forward to them coming into leaf in the Spring.

The extra is from my walk across Hampstead Heath yesterday - a heron preening itself on a branch over the Hampstead Mixed Bathing Pond. When I got back I googled Hampstead Heath and discovered that, like Burnham Beeches last week, it is owned by the City of London!
