Baby Love

At Slimbridge WWT the Bewick's swans are there in force and they come in late afternoon for the feed along with every other waterfowl in the area.

This mother was protecting her not so small chick from the unwanted attentions of the others on the lake. I love the way he is peeking out. 

A very flighty Extra is shellducks whizzing past at speed.
