Does this look like a Carolina Wren to you?
I moved a Bluebird feeder close to the kitchen window for my wren couple. They are curious and brave enough to go inside and out of this feeder for peanuts and dried mealworms. The squirrels so far had not managed to lift the lid, well, until this afternoon. One gray handily manipulated the green wire I had rigged up to try to keep them out and lifted the lid. One of the wrens watched the whole thing and did manage to slip in for a peanut before the squirrel came back. I've re-adjusted the wire, but I don't expect it to keep the big gray bird out for long.
In the extras I have a collage of the antics involved to get the prize the gray in the blip is totally enjoying. Also, Ollie the parrot at the Healthy Animal shop where I buy Merry's food. Ollie perks up and starts chattering and singing(Old MacDonald AND Arias). She is not so willing for everyone, so I left with a smile after a concert and lots of "Pretty Girl, Pretty Girl", as she refers to herself in a number of voices. DollyDoug has met Ollie each time she has visited Dogcorner from the UK.
For the Record,
This day came in with snow and rain showers and freezing temps.
All hands wary
