And so it all starts again - I got the grow lights out and sowed chilli, aubergine, sweet pepper (and admittedly a few tomato!) seeds. 

The soil mix is 80% vermiculite and 20% coco coir so it should be nice and light. 

Last year, I sowed in early January and had too many plants to care for indoors in the spring. This time, I sowed slightly later but still too early (beginner's enthusiasm never wanes with this Grow Your Own thing...) so I'll try to control the growth a bit by not having the lights on more than 6-8 hours a day.
