A lazy Sunday

We had a lazy start to the day then hubby got out in the garden and I caught up with some indoor tasks.

We took my Mum for a drive after lunch and bought her a Tip Top Boysenberry Trumpet (an ice cream concoction on a stick), which is her favourite and which she enjoyed. After dropping Mum off we came home and prepared a meal, which we took over and ate with Mum.

The big news of the day is that Omicron is now in the community and, as a result, the whole country has been moved to the red light level of the traffic light system. Some experts say this is not strict enough to contain Omicron.

I also found another Whale from the Whales Tales Trail, which is today’s blip. This one is rather beautiful, having been embellished with a mosaic mandala.

There are 24 new community cases today. They are in Northland (2), Auckland (16), Waikato (1) and Rotorua (5).
