An enjoyable day
An enjoyable day
We visited the Farmers’ Market in Parnell this morning, the first time this year. It wasn’t as busy as usual, probably because people are still on holiday. We had coffee at home before hubby left for the Maritime Museum to go sailing on the Ted Ashby. It was a perfect day for sailing - sunny and warm with light winds.
We met a friend after hubby finished at the Maritime Museum. She cycled the Alps to Ocean just before Christmas on a “normal” bike. Huge kudos to her for that. It was good to catch up and compare notes. Quite by accident we found the delightful Whitestone Cheese Bar. Whitestone Cheese is from Oamaru and is named after the white stone from which a large number of buildings in Oamaru are built. We spent a pleasant couple of hours feasting on cheese, drinking wine and chatting about our Alps 2 Ocean experiences. So enjoyable.
We also found another four Whales from the Whales Tales Trail.
There are 43 new community cases today. They are in Auckland (19), Waikato (4), Rotorua (6), Hawke’s Bay (6) and Nelson (9).
