Grand Place, Brussels

We took a brief outing (in wonderful sun--finally!) to the Grand Place (Grote Markt in Flemish), in the city's center, before heading to the airport. We're flying to London and then hopefully making a relatively short connection to New York.

We'll arrive very late at JFK (at best), and so I'm putting this up at our hotel before our taxi comes.

The large square is a UNESCO World Heritage Site--marvelously elaborate buildings surround it. This is a merged panorama from parts of two horizontals, with modest corrections for distortion (I doubt perfection would be possible :) Worth viewing large. My blip two days ago showed a modest slice of an opposite corner.
