Red rosebud

Today the weather continues overcast and chilly, a bit dreich but in the garden the plants are still growing out of kilter. Roses and snowdrops and aconites all in bloom together and a red rosebud ready to burst. I wonder if it will be in flower by Tuesday?

Today was an ok day. Y came for coffee which always encourages me to tidy the house. She didn't stay, off for lunch.  I swept in Pune needles and chatted to E. Then I put on Warner clothes and went out to cut back some of the herbaceous bushes, including the fuchsia. The brown him is full again.

I'm trying to set up the living room TRV again, another job on the list. Then prompted by Y I've out up the Chinese New Year decorations, not till 1 February but I feel it is time to raise the red lanterns. 

Another relaxing evening beckons. And tomorrow, no work, whoo hoo (doesn't mean I haven't got things to do though).
