Foxbar Falls day two

Blue skies today.

We walked down the valley to the top of the waterfall. There were spectacular granite outcrops all around.

The area was explored by Chinese copper miners in the late 1800’s! It has been in the hands of one family since the days of the WW1 return soldier’s land grant scheme.

A series of weirs have created several lakes, securing the water supply. There are market gardens on the way in to the property but much of it is original wilderness. In recent years the fourth generation of the family have developed camping areas and walking trails.
