Showing off......

There's an awful lot of testosterone on the lake at Trentham Gardens. And considering its smaller size, in comparison with the mute swans, the male black swan was no exception.

It was a pretty good bird visit as the Great White egret was around, and a lovely Goosander (see extra) just chilling. I was also on the hunt for a particularly unusual song thrush which had been spotted recently. I was lucky - the leucistic thrush (see extra) was where it had last been seen. 

Not a bad morning's wildlife spotting and it kept me out of the way while our decorator revarnished one of our floors!
