Bear Hug and a splash

A day for hugs and celebration. 
Covid was defeated yesterday at 6.00am. It no longer exists. 

Aren't we just brilliant? 

I reckon that the thinking was:
- Omicron is not the killer that the D variant has been 
- The "at risk" population (young, aching for mating partners, invulnerable) have to a large extent caught Omicron in the last month
- The "careful" population will stay cautious for another while, with or without restrictions that were harder and harder to enforce 
- The next 2 to 3 weeks are going to see another big flare but no one really gives a shit as long as the ICUs are not overwhelmed 
- It's endemic
