Aldborough

Pit stop on the way to Durham today. If you look on the little map that is in the guide that English Heritage sell for the museum here it shows this space as being the forum for the Roman town. Tickles me to think of the Romans that passed through this space where today we sat in the car and ate our sandwiches and cream cakes. Just off the A1 near Boroughbridge if you’re passing and haven’t been before. The EH site has a chunk of Roman wall and a couple of splendid mosaics. One of my favourite places.
In other news our grandson Gorgeous Boy has Covid for the second time in the last 3-4 months. Don’t believe them that this thing is nearly over. Thankfully it doesn’t sound like he’s feeling too bad.
