Australian of the Year for 2022 announced tonight. It’s not something I’ve taken a huge amount of notice of prior to last year, but the AOTY for 2021 has been an outstanding advocate for women, and I think they’ve nailed this year’s choice too. About time, and very timely given it’s an election year. The awardee isn’t chosen by the government, and I’m sure there is a lot of cursing going on in the LNP party room right now.
