Urgent cleaning

I transgressed on Saturday, by leaving muddy footprints on the new carpet up the stairs and into our office. After our attempts at cleaning failed, I arranged for professional carpet cleaners to come and remove the evidence, which they did successfully. I have been assured that a second offence will require the removal from the carpet of substances more worrying than mud.
