Diglis Island

The u3a photography group had an outing to Diglis island today courtesy of the Canals and Rivers Trust. We got a talk about the work they are doing “ unlocking the Severn “ ( the fish ladder) and were able to wander around areas normally out of bounds and take photos.
This shows Worcester cathedral reflected in the calm river , as the river has been diverted and weired just below.
My plan was to come home and edit some shots on my desktop before crochet group this afternoon, but not 5 minutes after I was in the doorbell rang … and it was my old friend from Reading of 42 years ago( see blip from December 15th, when they tried to visit before ). He now lives in Cornwall,so I couldn’t turn him away could I!!
We had a lovely catch up and reminiscing and getting up to speed, till he left about 2. The ladies arrived at 2:30, so there was just enough time to grab lunch, then I’m off out to my box office shift in an hour or so. The editing will have to wait…
