Snow surrounds us

Elpida (Hope) is the cold weather named that hits Greece and Crete these days. At midday the clouds lifted a little and the snow on the hills nearby was reveiled. 
Iraklion was covered in snow and the villages up the hills and mountains; just Chania had sleet and hail and rain... but you can see these hills aren't far beyond Chania, just some  4-5 kms at the most.

In Athens a traffic infarct happened on the roads on the East side of the city and up to the airport and Rafina (the Marathon road).
