Lamp post
A very nice morning with plenty of sunshine so I took myself off into Stratford for a walk along the river going through the Bancroft Gardens, Theatre Gardens, Holy Trinity churchyard, and then crossing over the footbridge by Lucy's Mill and back along to the Recreation Ground.
Quite a few people out and about and walking either with or without dogs. I noticed that a lot of the couples were holding hands which is always a nice thing to see. A few hardy fishermen as well, sitting by the river and hoping for the best.
Along Southern Lane there are lamp posts donated to the town from different countries and in different styles of course. The one in today's Blip is my favourite and is outside the Royal Shakespeare Theatre by one of the entrances to the gardens. Much further along is one from from Spain and is a close second to this one.
Still a lot of swans, geese, ducks. and seabirds on the river although there have been a lot of cases of Avian Flu amongst them which is a cause for concern. The extra is of a very handsome / pretty goose waddling along with a few others opposite the theatre.
