Stars behind the scenes.

Blackpool marathon and half marathon have been huge successes today, thanks to the hundreds of people who competed and the army of people who work tirelessly behind the scenes.

Two of those unsung heroes today were Emma and Sarah who were working with their father on the timing for the race.
Whilst chip timing is used routinely for races these days, there is always a backup of timekeepers with stopwatches.

This photo was initially taken in revenge for one they took of me but it shows how much fun they were having (and the one they took of me is a good one too)
