Upstairs on my favourite seat. Every week it seems the bus winds its way home on a different route. I tell you, these trams to Newhaven better be good. I’d been meeting the son - first time in ages, and he was in extremely good spirits, it being pay day. Ideas were spilling out of him, which sometimes I find a bit challenging, me having my errrrrr feet in the 'feet firmly on the ground' camp.
Later, football. After a good opening ten minutes we decide to stop playing, and refuse to have anything to do with the ball. Well, apart from our keeper who makes every effort to touch it as often as possible. On a couple of occasions he decides not to even do that. And then.. second half, blimey, yes literally a game of two halves. Up and at ‘em. We pull one back, and then a penalty! That Boycie judges it to perfection - off the inside of the post! And along the goal line and out. Sob. Still, good to hear Celtic fans whistling in desperation for the final whistle for a change. It’s just a game. F&*£&n f&%£.
