Somehow that ancient saying has renewed significance at the moment in the light of all the alleged mendacity at large in the corridors of power.
It was raining when I left the house at 0530 for an early voluntary shift. By lunchtime the sun returned and it was lovely to pick up both our grandsons from school again after their lengthy Omicron absence. They were very pleased to be back.
Today is World Holocaust Memorial Day. When we lived in Warsaw one of the most poignant excursions we made was to the remains of the concentration camp at.Treblinka. The autumn leaves were weeping gently to the forest floor as we walked through the extensive remains of this death camp, in total awe of the enormity of what had taken place here …
