A fabulous day and I have almost 300 photos to sort thru. A friend picked me up at 7:30 am and we went to the Eagle Watch in Sheffield Mills, NS. The chicken farmers in the area feed the eagles twice a day from December to March, with any dead chickens that are found in their barns. We arrived a few minutes after the chickens had been put out this morning, and about 10 minutes later the eagles were on the ground feeding. Sometimes it takes them an hour or more before they come down from the trees. About a half hour later it was all over. We headed in to New Minas to have brunch, then went back for the 11 am feeding. Again we arrived there just after the chickens were put out, and less than 10 minutes later the eagles were again on the ground feeding, this time more than had been there at 9 am.
