The Blizzard begins
Update, 12:45, 2 feet/60cm of snow and climbing. The snow is now fluffier with rapidly falling temps. Some newer photos in in the extras. The birds are feeding heavily. Northern Flicker & American Robin in the extras at the heated birdbath.
Power stayed on, over 2feet, it's just stopped, very, very cold. Digging out resumes tomorrow.
We have almost 6 inches of wet heavy snow at 7:30 this morning. The wind is howling, the birds are trying to fly and feed. We're in for a real historic storm I think. It's beautiful and scary at the same time. T is out clearing space for the juncos and ground feeding birds to feed until the spot fills with snow again.
If our power stays on I'll update during the day. My friends in Scituate on the on the coast have already lost their power early this morning.
For the Record,
This day came in with howling winds and heavy wet snow. The temps will drop and the the snow should get fluffier, we hope.
All hands wary and in wonder of the power of Mother Nature.
